As Deep South District (DSD) Director, I would like to welcome you to our website.
Our District is affiliated with the American Rose Society and we represent 20 local rose societies in Alabama, Georgia, and Florida whose mission is to help everyone grow and enjoy roses.

Explore our website and you’ll find lots of helpful and interesting rose growing information in our rose posts, library, and past issues of the DSD Bulletin. Our lovely rose photos may inspire you to add new roses to your garden. The events tab will steer you towards rose shows and district meetings with nationally known speakers. Whether you like modern or antique roses, low maintenance or exhibition varieties, rose photography, hybridizing, or any other rose topic, you’ll find the information here and at your nearest rose society meeting.

We have contact information for the local societies. Call or email them! They welcome anyone interested in rose growing, especially beginners. You do not have to be an expert to join a rose society. All rose societies have Consulting Rosarians who stand ready to help you with your rose questions and do garden visits at no charge. I’m so glad you are visiting our website!
